Dr. Tracy Lamb Ph.D. MBA FRAeS

CEO of Quantum AI, Co-founder of AIRS Vision™

From her Ph.D. research, Tracy Lamb founded Quantum A.I., a private LLC dedicated to developing and providing an innovative safety management software platform (AIRS Vision™) across the USA, Canada, and South America. Tracy has an impressive 28-year career in commercial aviation as an operator, innovator, and business developer. She is an international airline pilot (Part §121, 117) and a seasoned business aviation operator (Parts §135, 91, 145 training). With an extensive background in aviation safety auditing and compliance, human factors, safety system integration, and safety data analytics encompassing ISO 90001, 31000, 41000, ISO BAO, BARS, and ICAO, Tracy exemplifies multifaceted expertise. Tracy enjoys a part-time role as an international cargo airline pilot, flying the Boeing 767-300 and 757-200 wide-body freighters in a crucial partnership with Amazon Prime. Tracy Lamb’s multifaceted expertise and industry leadership have afforded her the prestigious Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS) title, and she is in the Hall of Fame for Women in Emerging Aviation Technologies. She has won several industry awards for aviation program development and business excellence. She is also one of very few officially designated Subject Matter Experts in uncrewed aircraft safety and regulatory affairs by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Tracy is a thought leader and innovator committed to advancing the safety and operational excellence of the Advanced Air Mobility Industry - the area of her recently completed Ph.D. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Tom Knode

Vice President of Industrial Safety
Tom is the Vice-President of Industrial Safety with Quantum AI. He has 30 years of experience in HSE, principally in Oil and Gas, and has worked for a large service company and operator (Halliburton and Equinor) as well as other service, chemical manufacturing and consulting companies.

Tom has developed career ladders and competency models for 4 different companies. He served on the SPE International Board of Directors as the Technical Director for HSE from 2008-2011 and has co-chaired 5 SPE HSE conferences and several workshops. He has published over 20 articles focusing on safety leadership and employee engagement, including an article in the September 2022 JPT on senior leadership’s role in driving safety improvement. Tom holds a BS in Geology from Texas Christian University and an MS in Geology from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Commander Richard King
Executive Advisory Board
Commander Richard King RN (Retd.) is a 28-year Veteran of the Royal Navy, privileged to have three operational commands and one shore command. These included Warship, Naval Air Squadron, Amphibious Air Group, and as XO of the world’s most prestigious officer training academy at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, UK. His 3500-hour flying experience includes both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. Richard has flown on operations from the arctic to Northern Ireland, including the Gulf and Australasia. He holds a UK JAR ATP FI and FAA ATP MEI and CFII and has implemented SMS tools to improve operational safety and culture. A Fellow of RAeS, Richard has also attended Cambridge University, being awarded an MPhil in International Relations and Law; Prime Minister Tony Blair read his work as part of the decision-making evidence to approve a critical defense program. A dual US/UK citizen, Richard resides in the Washington DC area, and since retiring from the Navy in 2011, he has been fully involved in commercial aviation. Previously he held Director positions and is leading global policy and strategy in making a case for groundbreaking sustainable novel hydrogen fuel cell powertrain capabilities to retrofit current and future commercial Pt 23 and Pt 25 aircraft.

Michael Beaver

Michael Beaver is the Senior Vice President of the Solutions Sales Group at BMC Software, Inc. He has global responsibility for aligning field execution with product strategy to drive growth. Michael brings more than 20 years of experience building and leading high-performing teams along with developing go-to-market strategies that result in exceptional customer experiences. Michael joined BMC in 1999 and has been promoted to roles with increasing responsibility, including overseeing new product specialists, leading the strategic accounts group and most recently serving as senior vice president of sales and customer success, that included responsibilities for sales enablement and operations. Michael has served in a variety of leadership roles in public, private, and venture-backed technology companies. He was vice president of sales for geoscience software company Paradigm, and vice president for early-stage hyper-converged hardware start-up Pivot3. Prior to that, Michael was director of sales for Hewlett-Packard. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University

Hon Captain Robert L. Sumwalt
Executive Advisory Board
Robert L. Sumwalt serves as Executive Director of the Center for Aviation and Aerospace Safety at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he is also Distinguished Fellow in Aviation Safety. In that role, he oversees research and development of the Center, and sets the overall strategy. He also serves as transportation safety analyst for CBS News. Previously, Sumwalt served as Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Member of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), where he served from August 2006 to June 2021, after being appointed by Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald J. Trump. Sumwalt was a pilot for 24 years with Piedmont Airlines and US Airways. He has co-authored a book on aircraft accidents and has published more than 100 articles on transportation safety and aircraft accident investigation. Sumwalt earned an undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Aeronautical Science (with Distinction) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with concentrations in aviation/aerospace safety systems and human factors aviation systems. He is a proud recipient of honorary doctorates from Embry-Riddle and the University of South Carolina. In recognition of his contributions to the aviation industry, in September 2021, Sumwalt was awarded the Flight Safety Foundation - Boeing Aviation Safety Lifetime Achievement Award. He also received the Flight Safety Foundation's Laura Taber Barbour Award in 2003 and ALPA's Air Safety Award in 2005. He is an inductee into the South Carolina Aviation Hall of Fame.

AIRS Vision Instructor
To be an AIRS VISION™ Instructor you must be a qualified aviation quality and safety auditor (ISO 9001) with a least 10 audits, and five years of experience in aviation safety and operational safety auditing and compliance. You must have used QMS/SMS programs and be familiar with the ICAO SMS framework. For the USA, you must have detailed knowledge and experience with FAA 14 CFR §5 (SMS). All Quantum AI AIRS VISION™ instructors hold either ATPL airline, or CPL Helicopter certification, and have worked as commercial pilots and instructors for at least 10 years. We will be excited to announce our new AIRS VISION™ Instructor soon.

Johanna is a veteran helicopter pilot and instructor with over 20 years of experience in safety critical operations such as; aerial fire fighting, and powerline inspections. She has over 10 years instructional experience ranging from ab-initio to Multi engine IRF. Johanna has held the positions of Chief Pilot, Head of Operations and Chief Flying instructor .In 2015 Johanna co-wrote the worlds first “Human Factors for Commercial UAS Operations For Powerline Inspections” for SGS Hart Aviation, the program has been used around the world by companies including China Light Power, SGS Aerospace, Sky Futures, and American Robotics. 'Jo' is a certified Lead Auditor in Aviation Safety and Quality Managment Systems.
