Milford Sound Flights: The AIRS Vision™software system database contains the company Operations Manual and Exposition (for aviation activities), Emergency Response Plan, procedures, and information. The AIRS Vision™ system which MSF uses as the key administration, and communication platform is in my opinion, definitely a best practice system.

The BROWSE OCCURRENCE REPORTS is an excellent method used to capture all events.
Some of the reports sighted included Aircraft Defects, Maintenance, Flight Operations, Improvement Suggestions, etc. It is pleasing to see staff encouraged to put forward improvement suggestions.

Excellent features such as allowing staff to post a report totally confidentially report are a real positive. Such reports go straight through to the (safety manager rather than to the ops manager.

The recent example re: a comms failure which was a reportable event to the Aviation Regulator was tracked and this illustrated just what an excellent system AIRS Vision™ is.
